- There is always a lot of fun at Christmas. There is generally a goose or a turkey, for the dinner. When the children are going to bed they hang their stockings on the end of the bed until Santa Claus comes. There is always a candle lit in each room on Christmas Night. Everyone is expecting presents from there friends at Christmas.
- St. Stephen's day is so called because on that day St. Stephen was stoned to death. There is an old custom of a group of four or five people in fancy costumes travelling from house to house and playing music, dancing, and singing and taking contributions.
