One time a man was living in an old house, and he was very poor. He said to his wife that he would go off to work for a year. One morning he set off to look for work and after walking about ten miles he went into a farmer's house and he asked for work.

that he could have it, and she went into the room to look for a bed for him. When she was gone the man thought of the advice and he went off as quickly as he could. When he was going along he met two men and they asked him to go across the fields. He thought of his advice and he would not go. After a miles walk he got home and when he got in he gave the cake to his wife and when she was cutting it all the soverigns fell out, then he told her all the story. A long time after he found out from the farmer that the red haired girl and the two men were out to rob him.
