  1. A Supernatural ringing of a Mass bell heard by an old man in a fort in Farran-na-Managh.
    There is a fort on the left hand side of the by road from Castleisland to Currans, in John Fitzgerald's land in the town-land Farran-na-Managh; there is another fort, nearly opposite it, on the right hand side of the road in John Horan's land.
    It is said there is an underground passage under the road, connecting the two forts.
    There are ruins of workmens' cabins on Mr Horan's land, nearly in front of one fort. There was an old man, (he would be 90 years now if he lived) named Jack Fitz, living in one of the old houses.
    He always said he used hear a bell ringing in the fort at the left hand side of the road every Sunday about 11 oclock. It mus be a supernatural ringing, he heard.
    No one else used hear it but himself. He even heard it when he
