  1. There is a regular net - work of roads round this district. The most important road is the road from Castleblayney to Newtownhamilton in county Armagh. About half a mile from Castleblayney the New Keady road branches off from the Newtownhamilton road at the "Big Bridge" and runs straight into Keady. This is a trunk road. About half a mile from the "Big Bridge" there is a road which branches off from the Newtown and joins the New Keady road at Mc. Guirk's Mill in County Armagh. This road is the old Keady road. About a quarter of a mile from the old Keady road a road branches to the right from the Newtown road and goes straight into Crossmaglen. This road is called The Churchhill road and is the old road to Crossmaglen. About half a mile from the Churchill road a road runs to the left through the townland
