    Some short time before his death (the time of which he foretold) he composed a very fine piece for his wife who felt very much his approaching death. He told her how all must part - Kings from thrones = c and reminded her of their future meeting. My mother often heard it but could not recall the rods. Another fine piece was "The Gairdíns", about the very pretty garden he had and was not fallen into decay and ruins through neglect by the Jerry Connor's who got the lands from which the old man was evicted.
