Kingsbrook consist of a level marshy plain now, but not many years ago it was completely covered by water. The land is covered with heather and all kinds of bushes, and is preserved for the number of hares which inhabit the land. Owing to the many industrious qualities of the men who own the land, it is well drained by a river which flows through it. This river flows into Ballisodare. There was a crozier fund in Kingsbrook bog and it was said that it belonged to Saint Patrick.
