  1. Kilmorgan is a townland situated in the County of Sligo and in hte Barony of Corran. It has at the present time a population of forty seven living in twelve houses. Originally there were twenty one different families in Kilmorgan. Some of these families emigrated to U.S.A. and the others are dead and gone. Kilmorgan has one or two remarkable places. The first and principle one, the ruins of an old monastery are in Kilmorgan. This was a very substantial stone building and was facing east and west. The two side walls are still standing as is the western gable and is in a very good state
