- There is a monument erected in Riverstown Parish by the Irish people. It is in memory of John Stenson who, when striving in the land for the people, was murdered on 29th October 1908. The man who built it was James Clarence, Builder Ballisodare. This monument is erected in a field; and can be seen from the school.
The inscription which is on it is as follows:- Erected by the Irish people and their exiled brethren of New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Butte Montana in Memory of John Stenson who, when striving in the cause of the land for th people was murdered on this spot, By the orders of Dublin Castle on 29th October 1908.

In Tawnagh graveyard there are some iron and wooden crosses to be seen. On the left side of Coopershill bridge the image of the gardener is carved on the stones. It is said that one(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
