in time of war. The only use of this cave now is a hiding place for foxes and rabbits. On the top of the fort there is about half acre of land with a stone wall all around it. There stands a large rock on one side of the fort with a entrance down to the cave which leads to the public road. About thirty years ago there lived a poor man who had no turf. He went to the fort to cut down some bushes but the handle of his axe broke three times but he did not surrender. He brought the fire wood home with him and for a year after there were lights seen in the fort.
