  1. On St Patricks Holy Well of Carrowhubbuck, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo.
    There are two Holy wells in the parish of Kilglass. There is one in Mr. Helly's field, in the townland of Lacken. People visit these holy wells on the 17th March. it is said that every one that gets cured has to leave some thing in the place of the cure. St. Patrick it is said, drank out of this well when he was travelling and preaching throughout this district. There was a canter man living in Lacken who was lame and he went to the well to get cured. He got the cure and he left his crutches after him there. Any one may see them and who goes down to the well, but the crutches are all rotten. It is also said that a woman living in Lacken was putting down onions in gracy, and the gravy hopped up
