- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)After a time everybody got sick and the milk was not given to them any longer. When they did not get the milk some of them got better after a time.
The creameries were not closed down at all but the milk from any family who had fever would not be taken from them.
Soon the people got to know and understand that they should not drink the milk when fresh, and by degrees the fever went away.
My great-grandmother is living still and she remembers it, and she says that a worse time could not be, for the people ate no food only drank all the milk they could get.
