  1. John L. Sullivan was a very brave man. He cam from Laccabeg. He was a great man for boxing. He was about twenty stone weight and he was also very active. It was said that a baby would fit into his shoe. Himself and two other men one day were having a fight and the two men had two sticks and he had nothing only his fists and before the fight was over the two other men had to run because he would kill them. About fifty years ago he came from America and himself and his wife used be going round in a side car visiting all his friends and neighbours.
    He was seven high and maybe more, and stout in proportion. He had a head as big as the heads of two fat men. He is dead now inspite of all his strength. Rich and
