    Few birds stay with us during the whole year. The following are some of the wild birds that resort this locality the robin, blackbird, magpie, wren, starling and crow.
    The robin is a small bird. There are many stories in connection with this bird. Some people say that when Our Lord was travelling the robin said "come under my wing and I will hide you." It is also said that a drop of Our Lord's blood fell on the robin's breast.
    The blackbird is a medium sized bird. The female bird has a black bill. Anyone that finds blackbirds nest ill luck will follow them.
    The magpie is of a black and white colour. This is an old rhyme in connection with this bird,
    "One for Sorrow,
    Two for joy,
    Three for a(n) girl,
    Four for a boy,
    Five for silver,
    Six for gold,
