  1. New Years Eve
    In this district new Years Eve is spent in preparation for New Years Day. The house is specially cleaned and all rubbish is thrown out. No ashes or dirty water is left over night in the house so that there will not be any necessity to throw anything out of the house on the first day of the New Year. If anything is kept over such as ashes or rubbish it would be considered very unlucky to let it out of the house until New Years Day is ended.
