- The fairy horsemen paid many visits on moonlit nights in bygone years. One band was reputed to have its abode beneath the waters of Currawn Lake and the other band was wont to issue from Rosharry Hill. The gathering ground of the second band was a large field between Rosharry hill and the road of present owed by Mr W Reilly. On moonlit nights that field was often "swarming with horses and riders".
A man named Alec Percival lived on top of Sawney's Hill in Currawn. One night he went out to his field to put a halter on a horse. The fairy horsemen passed by. One of them lifted him on his horse and took man and beast with them. Two days later he was left back in the same place. On the night of the near full(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
