  2. Get a fistful of rye and shake it on the room floor and while you are shaking it say "I am shaking this rye for whoever shall appear to me this night. Let him either appear in black or in white."
    If you get a ball of yarn and throw it across the rick three times and then say "In the name of the devil, whoever I shall marry let him appear to me on the other side in black or in white."
    If you put a comb under your pillow November night you will dream of somebody.
    White Monday. If a child is born on White Monday it will be very cross.
