  2. Shrove Tuesday: It was a custom (where there was a marriageable girl in the house who did not get married during Shrove) Seraft) to kill a hen for dinner on Shrove Tuesday.
    Whit Sunday: A person born on that day will be ostinate and bad-tempered. The old people would not let you near a river or a lake on Whit. Sunday for fear of a drowning.
    St. Martin's Day: Blood of some animal is spilled in honour of St. Martin. The old people used kill a fowl (many still do) for the fest of St. Martins.
