  1. It is said that in olden times the "Good People" used to bury their dead in the Kilvoey grave-yard and that many a time they asked the farmers to help them to carry the "coffin" to the grave-yard.
    On one occasion it is said that the fairy-folk called at the residence of the Rev. P. Carroll of Urbal to have an infant baptised. The priest administered the sacrament . They left the money on the table for him. In the morning the priest was surprised to find only a small spit to represent the half-crown.
