    Hidden Treasure
    About a quarter of a mile from Skerries there is a cave where treasure is supposed to be hidden.
    There is a passage from it which leads to Baldungin Castle.
    The story is that Cromwell came and burnt the Castle.
    At that time it was a monastery and the monks took the silver vessels and feel through the passage to the sea. So the treasure may be the vessels which the monks buried before they sailed away.
    We are not sure about the treasure but this is the legend.
