    Famous People who passed through Balrothery (1) Cuchullian when fighting his way back from Lush with his lady Emer was met at the ford of Balrothery where the waters cross the Final road by a force led by Scennend sister of Emer. He gave battle and cut his way through to the North. This place is called the Ford of Second.
    2. St Molugha settled for a short time at Bremore close to Balbriggan and Balrothery. There he kept a swarm of Bees, portion of those brought over from Wales by St Modomhnac. From this circumstance his church was called Lannbeachra (The Church of the Bee Man) and the ruins of it may still be seen close to a farm house in Bremore now occupied by Mrs Bell
    3. St Mobhi. The memory of St Mohbi still lingers in Fingal. It would appear that as a result of Danish and Norman rapine and desecration, the place of his sepulture
