- This is a local poem written by Jean Hutchinson, Rock House, Lecamey. The Harvest MoonAs I mused one autumn evening,
Thought drew my wandering mind afar,
And I gazed in puzzled wonder,
At the rising evening star,
Rising slowly but so surely,
Other stars will join it soon,
And to finish all that splendor,
Shone a lovely harvest moon.II
In the beginning some one whispered,
And that voice did softly say,
Just the star that shined o'er Eden, shines o'er you my child to day,
Man's days are three score years and ten,
End comes at longest sure and soon,
But down through all the generations, Shone a lovely harvest moon.III
Once again I mused in wonder,
That our minds such doubts do keeps,
When we know that we are guarded,
By an eye that never sleeps,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
