- Beastings are made from the second supply of milk taken from a cow which has calved.
This is put into a pot, allowed to boil. It will be seen that there are little yellow lumps like butter on top of buttermilk in a churn and there is a thin liquid left like whey. This dish called Beastings is used with potatoes for dinner and is highly thought of by people, who live in the country
- is held once a year beside a public house near this school. It is held on the 11th December.
It is not now such a large gathering as it used to be.
Some years ago, there were stalls decorated with sweets cakes and the school children spent their money there.
We still get caramels rock dilish and buns in McGinleys shop.
The fair is now over at 3 o'clock(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
