There is a story told that a man was digging in a hill and he found a pot of gold. He saw another man coming towards him so he closed the hole again until the man would go away. But when the man did go the other came back to see about the gold but he never saw it again. This gold supposed to be found by a red haired man sometime in the future. (gan teideal)

There is a man the name of James Harkin living in Tullyhullion. He has found a number of stone instruments in his moss. While a number of men were cutting turf in Paddy Sams moss they found a dead man's body rolled up in flannel. But once they took the body out it crumbled away to dust.
