- These herbs were told to me by my mother Cassie McHugh, Tullycleave, Ardara, co. Donegal.Long ago the people used to make plasters with flowers called "Crows-feet". This plaster was used for cleaning cuts. The flowers were pounded through oat meal and buttermilk and it made a good plaster. There is another herb called "Mouses ear" and it was used for giving to fat lambs to keep them from taking diseases.Ivy leaf is good for a burn.
