  1. About forty years ago a man was coming home from some house, having been playing cards. He was drunk. This went on for many nights and one night he was passing by Dalkey grave-yard and as he was going by he heard somebody shouting to come in and finish the game of cards. He went in to the grave-yard and played the game. After a couple of games the man saw the cloven foot of the devil. He got up and he could hardly walk home because he was weak. After that the man never went anywhere to play cards, because he learned that the game is called "the devil's game."
