    Many years ago there was a man drowned at Sorrento Point.
    Two men were in a canoe and the sea was choppy at Sorrento Point. Mr Hammond, an old fisher-man of Dalkey told the men not to go up to the point that the canoe would be turned over. The men took no heed of the old man and when the men got to Sorrento Point the canoe turned over.
    One of the men could swim and the other man could not swim a stroke. The man that could swim was drowned and the man that could not swim was saved and lost a couple
