- There are a number of people having charms, and in this way the people searched for remidies for their ailments as they all beleived in charms and most people still believe in charms.
People used to say that by putting a frog into a person's mouth would cure toothache. A ferrett's leavings was considered good for curing the whooping cough and donkey's milk is also said to be good for the whooping cough.
It is said that by licking a lizard is a good cure for a burned tongue. Headache is cured by what is known as measuring. There is a land put on the patient's head and it is left on until the charm is done three times in succession.
