  1. The people of this locality generally use a dash churn to do their churning for them.
    Before they commence churning they scald the interior of the churn with boiling water.
    They then take the boiling water out of the churn. Then they put the cream into the churn and commence churning.
    When the milk is churned they take the butter out of the churn and put it on a plate.
    Then they put a tiny portion of the butter on the side of the wall as they would be afraid the fairies would take the butter from them. If a woman comes into the house, while churning is in progress, for a coal to light his pipe, he will have to
