    The young man was in great delight at the fine meal which spread itself before him, but he felt nervous at first about the strange way in which it had come. At any rate he was just about to begin eating when, on looking towards the rocky hillside facing the cave he caught sight of the crowd and a cry of terror burst from him. "Eat your dinner in peace" said the hermit to the young man, "there is no danger" This is only the king with his guests and servants ; I will take care that they do not disturb you."
    When he spoke, the feet of the king and his men and horses and dogs became fixed to the earth. Not one of them was able to stir a step further. There they had to stand while young man finished his dinner. As soon as the king saw the hermit he knew it was the cousin for whom he had searched so long. When he was able to move again he felt so pleased at this discovery that he was in good humour.
