  1. Once upon a time there lived a great giant in Ireland named Finn Mac Cumail. All the giants gathered to make a road to Scotland. Finn Mac Cumail was the strongest of all the giants and his wife was a fairy-doctor and she had a sister and she lived about four miles away on top of a hill and they could talk to each other every evening.
    Finn Mac Cumail and the giants went to help the others to make the road, and all the giants were carrying big stones a few tons weight. Finn Mac Cumail knew that there was another giant coming to fight him and he went home.
    When Finn went home his wife was greatly surprised and she asked him why did he come
