1. The Nailers (ar lean)

   square little box and now out comes a nail with a head just the soart for a man's shoe. People called them nailers and none of them gave away the saycret, although people used to go in and out. The little hose they lived in, had no window and everyone called it, what you heard in the shop the nailers.
   Every shoemaker in the place bought the nails there and you could be wairen them for ten years and they'd be as good as ever.
   They kept on making as long as they were able, and at last their work ceased and the saycret died with them. This would be about eighty years ago. Some one said a man in Cnoc na bFhiadach" referred to in next pages, learned the art by going in and out. The thatched shed fell into new hands and was called the Nailers. It again changed hands with other property, and is still called the Nailers, even though it is used now as a flour and meal store.
