There was a little path leading from the road, through a small field, and at the end of this path, the station started. People followed the path, on their knees, praying at the same time. Reaching the lake, they went round it on foot, reciting the usual prayers, and asking the help of Saint Keiran, to cure whatever was sick at home. Having finished the difficult task, they partook of food and set of for home, thanking God.
There are many superstitions regarding this lake. A high rock stands not far from the shore, and the wife of a man living quite near it died, and he believed she was taken by fairies.
