On their way both o' them began to get alikin for a smoke, so wan o' them called into a house for a coal to light his pipe, an' is he was goin in, the other fella tould him to bring out awan for to light his pipe. The man said he would.
He went in to the house anyway, an' bedad if they warn't churnin' but he got the coal anyway, an' brought out the wan to his comrade, an' when he had his pipe kindled he threw it on the side o' the road, an' both o' them sthruck away.
They sthayed a fortnight a Sthrandhill, an' when they war on their way back agin, if they didn't call into the same house that they called into when they war goin down to get anether coal, to light their pipes. The same man that went in too, an' they happened to be churnin' agin in the house. He asked for a coal, but bedad this time if he wastnt refushed "You'll get no coal here say she, twas you that called in a fortnight ago, an we never got a bit o' butther since"
