I went to confession wan night in Carroreigh...

I went to confession wan night in Carroreigh. I was drunk the same night, as drunk as bedamned.
The priest got very mad, "Do you know" says he, "that you're standing on the brink of hell?" he says.
"Begob ‘en mon", says I 'Twas a quare place they went to go build a chapel"
He cleared me. I was about four years away at the time.
"Did you ever take the pledge?"
"No, only when i have no money."
