  1. The nettle is one of the commonest herbs that grow in this district of Aughagower. It is a cure for measels. The nettles are to be boiled first and the juice mixed with milk and given to the patient.
    The moss is got on rocks it is no harm to anything. It is used for dyeing stockings it is to be boiled in water and the stockings then put in and left there for a quarter of an hour when they have a brown colour.
    A docket is very harmful when the seeds ripen It spreads and destroys the crops.
    Garlic is a plant that is very useful for sickness. It is a cure for a bad stomach. It is to be boiled and strained and the juice that is over is boiled again in milk and given to the patient.
