  1. On the night of the big wind which occured in the year seventeen hundred and thirty nine there were fourteen houses in the village called Drumhll. This village was in the Parish of Aughagower in the townland of Westport and in the County Mayo. When the storn came the roofs were taken off every one of the house but one. Any person that went outside the house on that night was obliged to walk on his hands and knees.
