  1. The only Saint that is connected with this district is Saint Patrick. Saint Patrick brought the true faith to Ireland and he fasted forty days and forty nights on a mountain two or three miles from this place and it is called Broagh Patrick. He had no monastery in the district. Saint Patrick went up to Bruagh Patrick and alot of devils gathered around him and he threw his bell after them and put them in to Loc na Coipe and the bell came back again to him. Saint Patrick is
