  1. The people used to make baskets and cleeves out of rods. They used to make a basket called a scib which was round and shallow. They used to pour the potatoes out on this basket and sit round it and eat their dinner out of it. The other baskets they used to make, were long, deep, and narrow, and pointed at each end. This was used for turf.
