    by a passage under the ground.Knopogue castle was also built by the |Mac Namaras.This castle is also connected with Quin Abbey by a passage under the ground it is said that there are golden ornaments hidden in the passage .It now stands about a quarter of a mile from the public road and it is not roofless.
