  1. The rock of Muff beside Kingscourt is a place for buying and selling horses. The fair is held every year on the 12th of August. Dealers stand at Sharp's cross of Drumgoon every fair morning waiting for the people to come with cattle. The wait at Sculley's a cross of Lisnasaran to buy fowl respectively. There is a fair held on the Cootehill fair green every month. You have to pay no money when going in. There is a luck penny given according to what sort of a price you get for the beast. If you get a good price for him you will give a decent luck-penny which is about five shillings and if you get a bad price you will give a half
