  1. Our churn is a standard barrell one made by Penham and Co. Ltd. It is sixteen years old.
    All the members of the family churn except those who are unable. If a stranger comes in and fails to take a few brashes, that person takes away all the luck off the churn of the churn of milk. In hot weather one quarter of an hour does a churn and in cold weather it takes half an hour. The churning is done by twisting a handle.
    There is a little glass on the lid which by it's clearness shows when the churn
