    and he had not been staying in at night. He was staying in the house of Mr Anderson in the townland of Killatee, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, and when he came to it in the morning it was burned. It is said that it was burned maliciously. He looked for compensation according to law and got it. It was levied on three townlands - Crann, Drumgoon, and Killatee - and he built the house up in the new again.
    Mr John McCabe is now dead and the house is vacant and falling down.
