  1. Food in olden times
The people had three meals aday in olden times. They had their breakfast, dinner and supper.
The people worked in the morning before having food and they had their breakfast about eight o'clock and their dinner about twelve o'clock and their supper at six or seven o'clock.
The people at porridge and tea for their breakfast and potatoes and vegetables for their dinner and they drank butter milk also.
The ate potatoes and porridge for their supper. When they were eating their supper they would sit around a basket which was put in the centre of the floor and the basket would be full of potatoes. They would also have a mug of butter milk in their hand and they would eat butter and salt to the potatoes and milk. They took the skin of the potatoes with their nails and they had a special long nail for this purpose.
