  1. Fairy Forts.
There is a fairy fort near my Grand father;s house in Lisanalokey one mile from Bailieborough.
There is a bank round the fort and in the centre grow Mayflowers and blue-bells.
The people who lived in this house before my Grand-father got it were Kennedys.
There was a story told about Tom Kennedy's child. She was sent out to put in the ducks and the fairies took her and kept her all night. The parents looked the whole land but could not get her.
She was standing at the porch next morning and she would not tell any one where she was and her mind was never right afterwards.
She went to Monaghan asylum and died some years ago.
There was another story told about
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
