  1. There is one shoemaker in this parish. His name is Mr. Gallagher, and he lives in the village of Labasheeda. He makes all the heavy boots for the farmers. He is a good shoemaker and he learned his trade from his father the latter learning the trade from his father. In former years clogs were very much worn. They are not used at all now a days as people considering them too liable to giving colds. They were comfortable while being worn, but when a person changed into leather boots one found the feet were always cold.
