  2. Homemade toys are very common in our districts. The men and boys make guns out of elder branches for skitting water. They make bows and arrows with crooked sticks and strings. Boys get a slice of a turnip and bore two holes in it and put another slice of a turnip in the holes to pretend they have made a man's head. Boys make tops of spools for spinning. Girl's string flowers and make rag dolls out of rags.
