    South wind brings most rain.
    Birds flying high indicate good weather
    Swallows flying low indicate rain
    Seagulls flying inland indicate snow or storm.
    When cat puts its back to the fire cold weather follows.
    When dog puts his nose to the fire cold weather follows.
    When dog eats grass rain follows.
    When cows seek shelter and when donkeys bray rain follows.
    When mist or fog settles down to the base of a mountain in the morning rain follows.
    When lakes assume a dark appearance rain follows.
    Water decreases in rivers or streams a day or two before a fall of rain.
    Fishes rise to the surface to catch flies
