  1. There is a holy well in Tommey Traynor's hollow. The water that is in it is very cold. The people call it the holy hollow. The people used to get oaten meal and salt blessed by the priest to give to the hens.
    On May Eve the people used to tie red ribbons to the cows' tails to keep them from being overlooked.
    The people when they get palm on Palm Sunday burn the old palm. They put a bit of new palm in the byre, pig sty, and stable. When the cows calved the people blessed the cows with holy water
