  1. Master Mc. Daniel taught at Corled Cross, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, in a farmer's barn. Master Mc' Gurk. taught at Drumillar, Kingscourt, Co Cavan, in his own house. Master Segrave taught a Leiter, Kingscourt Co. Cavan, in a farmer's barn. These three were local men.
    Philip Sheehan, Drumbar, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan taught school in his own barn. The children had to bring a turf every morning in winter. They had also to pay him 1|- every quarter. The subjects taught were English, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.
