    When the curlew is seen flying towards the mountain. It is a sign of rain, and when it is heard calling rain may be expected also.
    When wild geese are seen in this district it is a sign of storm.
    The swan builds her nest at the edge of a lake.
    The crow builds her nest in the top of a tree
    The wren builds her nest in an old ruin.
    Swallow? and sparrows build in the eves of houses
    Blackbirds and thrushes build in bushes.
    The magpie builds in the top of a tall bush
    The robin builds in a mossy ditch.
    The cuckoo laps her egg in a larks nest.
    When the lark hatches on her eggs.
    The young cuckoo come out.
    The larks feed him
